Bird in Eye North, Uckfield
Welcome to Bird in Eye North, a proposal for a new residential community in Uckfield. Our vision is to create a thriving neighbourhood, thoughtfully designed to connect with and compliment the surrounding natural and built environment.
Enhancing connectivity
Alongside residential development, we are proposing enhancements to travel options along Framfield Road, Keld Avenue, New Town, Mill Drove, and Lime Tree Avenue to enhance routes to the town centre, Uckfield College and leisure centre. Our enhancements also focus on upgraded pedestrian and cycle routes and improved links to the adjacent Croudace Homes' development at Bird in Eye South. These improvements will help create a more connected and active community, encouraging movement and interaction throughout the residential area.
Prioritising green spaces
Additionally, a vibrant new riverside recreational space is envisioned along the northern edge of the site, flanking the River Uck. With over 70% of the site reserved for natural, open green space, Bird in Eye North has been designed to promote healthy living and social connection, featuring scenic walking and cycling paths.
The project also prioritises the protection and enhancement of the existing ancient woodland, while introducing thoughtfully designed wetland and meadow habitats to nurture local biodiversity and support thriving wildlife.
